Description
Sybil is a soul diva who gained notable success in her career with songs from the mid-1980s into the mid-1990s. She started her music career with the group Ce Ce & Company before she left to sign with Next Plateau record label.
She achieved worldwide crossover hits with her cover versions of Dionne Warwick’s hits “Don’t Make Me Over” and “Walk On By,” which were released in 1989 and 1990, respectively, as well as “Make It Easy On Me,” “The Love I Lost,” and “When I’m Good & Ready”, all of which were big in the UK, South Africa, Asia.
In 1997, Sybil terminated her contract with Next Plateau Records with a “Greatest Hits” album, and later that same year, she released her last album to date, “Still a Thrill,” which was released in Europe and Japan only. She would go on to continue touring and releasing new house/dance singles.
Media Square is excited to share her latest release, “Cheers” headlining the iconic 80s & 90s soul diva Sybil and featuring Trarius. This song is a nice combination between soul, pop, and afrobeat to reintroduce Sybil with a fresh new sound to her existing fans, as well as new ones that are not familiar with the soul diva’s exceptional voice.
